The Crew

The Bearded Buck is an Outdoor Entertainment Company located in Western Pennsylvania. Founder of The Bearded Buck, Jerry Tibbott, developed the idea about 10 years ago as a practical joke between himself and one of his hunting buddies but has since grown into much more. The Bearded Buck has transformed into an Outdoor Lifestyle Brand. We dedicate ourselves to not only being deer and turkey stewards, but land stewards as well. Jerry has always said, “although one’s name is on the deed to a piece of property, ultimately the hard work we put into our habitat and wildlife management is not just for our own satisfaction, but for the satisfaction of knowing that future generations will also be able to enjoy and carry on this lifestyle that we have become accustomed to .”
With The Bearded Buck TV Show coming to network in 2017, we are dedicated to bringing our fans nothing but high quality, professional level content. We will not settle for average! We work very hard in our everyday lives but also know how important it is to relax with family and friends and occasionally have some fun…well I guess you could say more than occasionally. We are a truly unique group of individuals that bring our own talents together to form a team like no other. We grew up living the “It’s All About Gobbles and Grunts” lifestyle. Through future ventures with new friends and partners, we intend to broaden our horizons. We will be expanding to live the “hunting and outdoor lifestyle” to its fullest. Who are we to turn down a hunt for any species, especially with great friends. We will always remember our roots that are planted so deeply in deer and turkey hunting. We are The Bearded Buck.

Jerry Tibbott

J-Rod is the owner and founder of The Bearded Buck; he is what you might call the Original Bearded Buck! Born and raised in west Central PA, and at the ripe age of 45, Jerry has many years of hunting & outdoor experience under his belt. Although he has harvested much game, it’s the path to harvesting that’s the passion for Jerry; he enjoys sharing his knowledge with family & friends to help them become better outdoorsmen and good stewards of their land and the game that thrives there. Managing his farms for quality whitetail & turkey hunting and creating a habitat for this game drives Jerry daily; passing these principles down to the next generation is something that is very important to him. He realizes that we are all simply stewards of the land and it is our job to leave it – and the game that is living there – in better shape for the next generation that it was before he managed it. He has strong family values and hunting with his son and daughter are some of his most memorable hunts. His life is based on family, friends, and all things outdoors; hunting, managing deer and turkey, food plotting, and shed hunting.

Founding The Bearded Buck is the next step towards sharing these passions with our viewers, and Jerry is excited to see where this group of family & friends can take the brand in his hopes for it becoming a successful outdoor entertainment company. Success is not always measured in awards, achievement, or wealth; rather, this success is measured in memories & friendships!

Austin Tibbott

Hunting has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. My father taught me everything I know about the outdoors. He first introduced me to hunting at age 7 when I shot my first deer. Ever since that day, hunting has been my passion and I knew it was something I was going to do until the day I couldn’t do it anymore. As my father Jerry, started The Bearded Buck and everything started coming together, I still would have never guessed we would have a chance to be hunting on TV. It was always a dream of mine, but I never thought it would become reality. As we venture into this crazy journey, we have met some amazing people that share the same passion as we do. If you know the Bearded Buck Crew, you know we like to have fun. There’s never a dull moment, especially with J-rod and CUD around. We are very fortunate to have this opportunity and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us.

Ron Buterbaugh

When you grow up in rural PA, for many people hunting is second nature and for me, Ron Buterbaugh “Cud”, this has always been the case. My first hunting experiences were with my dad when I was 12 and we hunted mostly small game and deer. I learned lots from my dad and from a young age I knew the hunt wasn’t always about the harvest but much more. My dad has always been someone who is a good time and fun to be around and he always brought this to our hunting group. For me the hunt, before and after, is just as much about the comradery shared as it is the harvest. As I got older I became a lot like my dad, (they say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree). I love to entertain the group and sometimes enjoy the festivities more than the hunt. As I grow older, definitely not up, maybe just out, I can appreciate each adventure with my pals even more. My favorite animals to hunt are deer and turkey, I didn’t develop this passion until about 15 years ago but now they are my favorites! I am not a good turkey caller but am one hell of a shooter so if you want to call a bird in for me I will kill it. I am damn near deaf so you may need to point out where it is coming from too!

Did I mention I am also afraid of heights??? Over the last few years I have also become very active in land management and food plotting. I have been fortunate enough to hunt in many states across this great country of ours and as I recall all of my harvests and tell the stories about them, there are always laughs, smiles and memories as I tell the stories. The family and friends that I share and make these memories with are the most important part. I will continue to hunt, make memories and entertain until they put me in the ground and I have been told by a few that if I don’t lose a few pounds or change my lifestyle that may be sooner than later.

Mike Miller

I grew up in a rural community in central PA. Hunting has always been a huge part of my life. I shot my first squirrel when I was 12 and it lit a fire in me that will never go out. I got into photography and videography when I was about 17 and filmed some hunts here and there but never took it too serious. Growing up hunting mostly state game lands with my dad Bobby, it was never a thought that we could produce videos that anyone else would care to watch. After meeting J-rod and The Bearded Buck Crew, along with attending multiple outdoor video schools with The Life TV, we realized that it was very possible. With the support of my mother Lisa, and the rest of my family, I was able to pursue a career in the outdoor industry as a Field Producer for The Bearded Buck. Its been a wild ride and I’ve met a lot of amazing and interesting people along the way. I cant wait to see what is in store for the future!

Justin Sharp

Justin is from Jenks, Oklahoma and has been chasing whitetails since he was old enough to sit still in a tree with his dad. He first learned to hunt with a bow and still prefers bow hunting over all methods today. His passion for the outdoors centers around responsible hunting practices, and sound quality deer management. He chases deer wherever he gets the opportunity, but spends most of his time hunting in North Central and Northwest Oklahoma.

In the past few years, Justin and his brother Brett have started to focus their time in the woods around not only their passion for hunting, but also a new found love for capturing the experiences on camera. Justin and Brett are partners in a construction company and a full time professional firefighter. In the fall, he tries to spend as much of his time off from the department in woods as possible. Justin is married to his wife Anna and they have three beautiful daughters. He can’t wait until his girls are old enough to learn about the great outdoors and begin building memories with his kids the way his dad has with him.

Brett Sharp

Brett has been an avid outdoorsman from a very young age. His life as a homebuilder and outdoor fanatic stays pretty busy. Brett grew up mainly as a waterfowl hunter in Oklahoma, but rediscovered his love for chasing whitetails while in college. Since then he has fallen deeply in love with every aspect of whitetail hunting and management. More recently, Brett and his brother Justin have gotten heavily involved in filming their adventures.

Originally, it was a way to preserve memories of their hunts, but has turned into a real passion for high quality production, and ultimately to The Bearded Buck. Brett is married to his wife Kelly, and has two young children that he can’t wait to share his passion for the outdoors with.

Danny Wilson

Danny Wilson “Big D” was lucky enough to grow up in a family that loves the outdoors and as a young man living in the small town of Petersburg West Virginia hunting and fishing was his lifestyle. His Grandfather owned a small sporting goods store and would always find the time to take Danny and the other grandkids hunting or fishing. In 1990 Danny married his high school sweetheart (Patti) and shortly moved to Stephens City Virginia which is just south of Winchester. Danny is blessed with two amazing kids (Christian and Danielle) who also love the outdoors. When you look in the dictionary under the words “Busy Man” you will most like see Danny Wilson’s picture. Danny is the Director of Safety, Environmental and Security for a paper company that has locations in Virginia, Georgia, Texas and California. He is extremely active in dirt track racing, but wait there’s more. Big-D is also an NCAA Basketball Official and a Virginia State Registered High School Basketball Official. Danny somehow finds time to lift weights, ride his Harley Davidson, hunt, fish and spent time with his family… and maybe sleep from time to time. Danny started filming his hunts a few years back with his main focus on his son. Christian has had over 40 major surgeries and faces many challenges, hunting allowed this father and son to bond even closer. Big-D loves to carry his muzzleloader into the woods but his true passion is bow hunting. “I believe the closer you are to the animal the better hunter you must be”.”The older I get the more I realize that it’s not about the harvest of the animal.. That’s the bonus. It’s about relationships, family, having fun and building memories that will last a lifetime”.

Caden Whitman

Growing up in a small town, hunting was a second nature for me. I was introduced to hunting at the age of 10, and from then on out, it became a tradition. The memories I’ve made hunting throughout my childhood and into adulthood have been priceless. Hunting led to scouting, scouting led to preparation, and so began my year long addiction to the outdoors. Getting into the management side of hunting started to become more prevalent. I decided to take it to the next level and pursue my life long passion for the outdoors. Through hard work, and persistence I was given the opportunity to fulfill a life long dream with The Bearded Buck. Now starts my journey in sharing my story and experience through a camera lens. I am extremely excited to see what the future has in store myself and The Bearded Buck.
